Mr. Allon Kai Mason Moussaieff
I am an Icelandic journalist trying to contact or find some information about a woman named Dorrit Moussaieff. I understand that she is a 49 year old journalist and designer and since you bear the same surname I thought you might know something about her. If you have any knowledge about this woman I would be very grateful if you could send me some information about her, her background, education, work - and maybe some character description. The reason why I ask is that she is romantically involved with the president of Iceland (he has already spoken publicly about that fact). For your information I emphasize that I write for a "broadsheet" newspaper and the aim is to write a profile on the lady that might become the first lady of Iceland (the president's wife passed away last year). The sooner the better, yours sincerely Lóa Aldísardóttir loa@ff.is Staff journalist of the newspaper Dagur, Þverholt 14, 105 Reykjavík. (we have a website with another newspaper in town on the web address, www.visir.is, if you would like to confirm the existence of the newspaper.) |
| I received the following e-mail on 30/8/99. If anyone knows anything, please contact this person. |

"I'm looking for information on a Liberty Moissieff, daughter of a famous Russian bridge designer. Liberty was the first wife of my father's first cousin Dr. Harry Weiss. If you know anything, please contact me.
What I know comes from an extensive obit in the NY Times Sept 3, (year unknown-ca 1935): Leon S. Moisseiff, b. Riga Latvia ca. 1865, emigrated to US 1891, civil engineering degree from Columbia University 1895, naturalized 1896, worked for NYC Dept of Bridges 1897-1915. Died aged 70. Left widow Ida Moisseiff, son Siegfried Moisseiff, daughters Mrs Liberty Weiss and Mrs Grace Smith. I believe that Liberty died in New York City about 10 years ago. Any information that you can provide with respect to her would be greatly appreciated." Bob Weiss RWeissJGS@aol.com |
